Rated 1 out of 5 by Paul Anderegg from This much money for 35MB/s transfers? I have had this unit for 6 months, and am severely dissapointed in the performnce for the price it cost me. On my PC with USB 3.0, as well as my Macbook Pro also with USB 3.0, I get 35MB/s READ and around 10MB/s WRITE speeds at most. When I put my SXS-1 cards into the Expresscard slot in my old USB 2.0 17 Macbook Pro, I get 85-90MB/s transfer speeds. Sony offers no drivers for these used in FAT and eXFAT, so there is nothing to do but plug it in and you get the trasnfer speeds you get. This is basically, my experience, the same performnce as the older SBAC-US20 USB 2.0 reader, except that it is bus powered and more convinient with only one cable being required. I would also like to mention that it is possible to insert an SXS card backwards, at which point it is not removable without extreme efforts. And I don't mean jamed or forced in, I mean loose rattling around backwards with some point of the card catching inside. Had to use a piece of cardboard slid across the top of the car to shim across the protruduing point, be careful. ![]() The USB 3.0 Multi-Slot Memory Card Reader from Delkin Devices has three slots for simultaneously transferring content from CFast 2.0 media; UHS-II SD, SDHC, and SDXC media; and UHS-I microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC media.
